Laura Aldrete

Laura Aldrete, AICP, is a senior supervising planner at Parsons Brinckerhoff’s PlaceMaking Group. Ms. Aldrete has participated in development projects both in the private and public sector throughout her 17 year career. She served as Stapleton project manager and special projects director for the City and County of Denver, and assistant director of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority. Ms. Aldrete’s private sector experience spans urban infill and regional planning in the United States, Latin America and Europe. She is currently the vice-chair of Denver’s Planning Board.

Kent Bagley

Kent Bagley sits on the RTD Board of Directors as Secretary of the Executive Committee, representing District H which includes all or parts of the communities of Englewood, Littleton, Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village, Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Columbine Valley and Lone Tree. He was elected to serve a four-year term. Bagley is an Urban Planner and Real Estate consultant with Bagley Development Consultants. He was formerly the chair of the Littleton Planning Commission for a period of three years.

Bill Bianco

Bill Bianco has been a partner for more than 30 years in the Denver law firm of Davis Graham & Stubbs, LLP. His practice has primarily been in the area of civil and construction litigation. His professional activities include service as a director of the Colorado Lawyer Trust Account Foundation, and past service as a director and chair of the Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado, and service on the Colorado Supreme Court Board of Law Examiners.

Jerry Glick formed the Columbia Group, a development company focused on adaptive reuse historic buildings, commercial mixed-use properties and residential apartments that are coupled with retail uses, in 1973. He has maintained a record of active community participation including his current position as Chair of the Downtown Denver Partnership Management Group. Glick is past Chairman of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority, past Chairman of Denver Civic Ventures, and served on the Union Station Advisory Committee.

Barbara Grogan

Barbara Grogan is the founder of Western Industrial Contractors, Inc.  She currently serves on the board of directors of the University of Colorado Foundation, The Denver Scholarship Foundation, The Denver Foundation and Volunteers of America.  Ms. Grogan also has served as the chair of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver Branch and was the first woman chair of the board of the Greater Denver Chamber of Commerce.  She served on three Security and Exchange Commission’s publicly traded multi-billion dollar boards of directors.  At present, Ms. Grogan is president of the Women’s Forum of
Colorado and serves as co-chair on the transition team for human services for Michael Hancock.

Mark Imhoff has over 30 years of experience in transit and transportation.  He is the director of the Colorado Department of Transportation’s new division of transit and rail, which oversees the statewide transit program to promote plan, design, finance, operate, maintain and contract for transit services including passenger rail, buses and advanced guideway systems.  Previously, Imhoff was managing principal at Jacobs/Carter & Burgess, directing its contract for RTD’s FasTracks program.  Before that, he was a senior manager at RTD. 

Steve Kaplan

Steve Kaplan is the managing partner of Kaplan Kirsch & Rockwell LLP.  He has served previously as General Counsel to the US Department of Transportation, City Attorney for the City and County of Denver and he a member of the Master Planning Team for Denver Union Station and has continued to be involved in its redevelopment.  His other major projects include DIA, the Colorado Convention Center, the Hyatt Regency Convention Center Hotel and the redevelopment of Stapleton.

Marla L. Lien is General Counsel of the Regional Transportation District in Denver Colorado.  She became General Counsel in 2005 and has since been working primarily on development of the FasTracks program including property acquisition, railroad negotiations, and Denver Union Station redevelopment. She came to RTD in 1990 as Associate General Counsel, working on development of three light rail lines including the Southwest Corridor, The Central Corridor and the T-REX project.  She also assisted in the acquisition of Denver Union Station.

Judy Montero

Denver City Councilwoman Montero has represented Denver’s District Nine – which encompasses Lower Downtown and Denver Union Station – since 2003. She is Chair of City Council’s FasTracks Committee, Vice-Chair of the Neighborhood, Community & Business Revitalization Committee, and a member of the Blueprint Denver Committee. Councilwoman Montero has played an integral role in the Master Planning process for the Denver Union Station redevelopment, working with the Union Station Advisory Committee since its inception in 2002.

Jennifer Schaufele is the Executive Director of the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), and the first woman to hold that seat in the more than 50-year history of the planning agency. Before coming to Colorado, she established a career as a governmental director with more than fourteen years of service  to the Broward County, Florida Board of County Commissioners. Schaufele also served as the Director of the Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Edward Scholz

Edward Scholz is currently the Chief Financial Officer for the City and County of Denver, overseeing a $2 billion citywide budget and operation that includes fiscal management and analysis, performance management, and long-term fiscal and capital improvement planning.  He holds an MBA in non-profit management, has taught local and national courses for the Government Finance Officers Association, and is a recent graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School Senior Executives in State and Local Government program.

Elbra Wedgeworth

Board President Wedgeworth served for eight years as a Denver City Councilwoman representing District Eight, including a two-year stint as Council President. Prior to City Council, Wedgeworth served as Denver’s Clerk and Recorder and as a member of the Denver Election Commission.  She is credited with initiating Denver’s push for the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was President of the Denver 2008 Host Committee. Wedgeworth now works as Denver Health’s Chief Government and Community Relations Officer.

Mike West

Mike West, CPA, spent twenty eight years with Arthur Andersen, the last ten as Director of Human Resources, Administration and Recruiting for the Denver office. He was responsible for administrative and financial operations of the office as well as recruiting all new and experienced hire personnel and dealing with employee personnel related issues. His civic involvement includes past service on the Boards of Directors of the Mental Health Association of Colorado, Historic Denver, Inc., and current service on the Boards of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, University of Denver Alumni Association and Lower Downtown Neighborhood Association.

Bill Mosher

As owner’s representative, Bill Mosher oversees the operations and management of DUSPA. Mosher joined Trammell Crow Company in March 2006 as Area Director for Development and Investment, where he oversees the company’s development and investment activities in Colorado. He is an expert in the planning, development and management of urban real estate. A native of Denver, he has more than 30 years of experience in both public and private urban real estate.

Mike Sullivan

Also with Trammell Crow Company, Mike Sullivan is considered one of Denver’s most experienced development and construction managers. A long-time partner with Bill Mosher, Sullivan directed the planning and construction of such high-profile projects as the Wellington E. Webb Municipal Office Building and the Denver Newspaper Agency (DNA) building.
